Every aspect has been finely tuned, tweaks have been made to make this style of game the best it can be. However, from my two hours of play, I get the feeling that this Far Cry is at its absolute optimum.
You know how it works by now: a massive open world brimming with wildlife, outposts you can claim however you see fit, a wealth of story and side missions and a captivating bad guy to tie it all together. That is unless you want to restart your campaign all over again. If you do choose the Infamous difficulty for New Game+, you won’t be able to revert to an easier mode. This makes Far Cry 5 enemies tougher to kill while also increasing their detection capabilities. However, you’ll still lose map reveals, mission progress, resistance points, and guns for hire for each playthrough.Īpart from New Game+, players can also challenge themselves with the Infamous difficulty mode.
You can also continuously replay the campaign indefinitely each New Game+ - allowing you to stack certain perks for your ammo and firearms. Still, for fans of Far Cry 5, Ubisoft has a treat with the New Game+ mode and an even tougher Infamous difficulty. Unfortunately, a number of criticisms about the game’s open world mechanics, bugs, DLCs surfaced as time went on. One of Ubisoft’s flagship gaming franchises piqued everyone’s interest before launch due to its political undertones. It’s been a while since we’ve last discussed Far Cry 5.
